Understanding the 4 Cs

Every diamond is graded on four key characteristics. Knowing the basics helps you make a confident, informed choice.

Cut

Cut determines how well a diamond reflects light — it's the most important factor in a diamond's brilliance and sparkle. A well-cut diamond will dazzle even at a smaller carat weight.

Color

Diamond color is graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Colorless diamonds are the most rare and valuable, but near-colorless stones can offer exceptional beauty at a better value.

Clarity

Clarity refers to the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes. Most inclusions are invisible to the naked eye — we'll help you find a stone that looks flawless without overpaying for perfection.

Carat

Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. Larger diamonds are rarer and more valuable, but the right balance of all four Cs matters more than size alone.
